Best Mobile POS System for iPad

Bindo’s iPad POS system can be used by most small businesses, with one or multiple locations, including those in retail, restaurant and service industries, such as salons and spas. It offers innovative features, such as a product database that streamlines inventory entry and Identity Safeguard technology that ensures accurate timekeeping. It’s also competitively priced, allows you to choose from multiple payment processors and is compatible with third-party POS hardware.

Although Bindo is one of the few mobile POS companies that doesn’t post its pricing on its website, the rates it quoted us in our testing are competitive. For a single location with one register, its monthly software subscription starts at $59 per month.

Like several mobile POS companies, Bindo also offers payment processing. It charges a flat rate of 2.49 percent of each sale plus 15 cents per transaction made with a card reader, or 3.49 percent plus 15 cents if you manually key it in. However, Bindo also gives you the option of working with other credit card processors, such as Chase Paymentech, Vantiv, First Data and Heartland. This allows you to shop around for the best rates or may allow you to continue working with your current processor, which is an important consideration if you’re under contract.

Bindo also gives you the option of purchasing your POS hardware from it or a third-party vendor. Although Bindo doesn’t display its pricing, you can see recommended makes and models on the company’s website, so you can shop around for a deal or see if you can continue using hardware you already own.

However, Bindo is one of the few mobile POS companies that doesn’t provide flexible month-to-month service. Instead, it requires you to sign a contract of at least a year, and there may be an early cancellation fee, depending on your particular agreement.
